That doesn't even make sense, since Bond isn't infallible and loses tons of fights. He is captured in every film. The villains almost always out play him. There is always a tough guy villain side kick who kicks ass.So your Bond getting beat up fits the lore just fine.

If you put on your English as a First Language hat and read what he's saying, the point he's making is the idea of Bond as a character is undermined by putting him into the player's hands. Bond doesn't miss a qte and ragdoll to his death. But the player will do that to Bond. Bond doesn't miss that goon firing at him from 20 meters away. But the player will do that as Bond. Bond doesn't drown because he took a wrong turn swimming. But the player will do that as Bond.So what becomes of James Bond?
