But things like hairstyles or buying safehouses or whatnot from previous games don't fit IV I feel. San Andreas feels like it was held back by PS2 and as a result the jump to GTA IV feels so much more massive, especially graphically. Just looking at the cars going from very crude to almost life-like, at least for the time. I would go as far to say that GTA IV cars look better than GTA V ones.On the other hand the loss of a lot of content from SA in IV can make it feel light on content.When comparing IV to III, the change in direction of the series is most obvious, from an arcade romp to a cinematic "experience", however both for their faults seem to have a very lean structure that I appreciate.Compare that to V that feels all over the place trying to callback to San Andreas but the cinematic direction getting in the way. It ends up feeling very gimmicked compared to the previous entries in the series.
