I think KoF characters are cooler than Street Fighter ones. I only really like SF Alpha roster, it's perfect. There are some lame additions in later KoFs (Shun'ei, Sylvie, Ilsa, Najd) and they had meh picks in the past (honestly nobody cares about Andy or Shingo, let alone Brian Battler or Chin or Ramon) but it's really impressive how much personality their characters have despite looking so "generic" most of the time. Take Mature for exaple, or Kensou, or Ralf, or even Saisyu. It's the little details in their sprite work and in-game behavior that makes them so charismatic and likable.
