Why the fuck do developers make fighting games so impenetrable?

Even just starting can be hard but then you gotta learn defense and combo changes for each update, new (usually more complex) DLC fighters.
You can't even hop off and expect to just be able to play right away.

You can't even play old fighters that aren't updating because the only people playing those are sweats that have done nothing else for the past 20 years.

>OR
I've learned to play multiple instruments, read hundreds of books, and learned to program while also playing fighting games over the last ten years.

half of top players are good at at least one of those things you mentioned and more
discipline and capacity to learn is universal

is the platinum for SFV still achievable realistically speaking? 6's was baby easy in comparison

or you can do none of these and post on /v/

I am eagerly waiting for the avatar fighting game

Looks terrible for a fighting game. Avatar fans only, I guess.

All those things lead to being a skilled fighting gamer, just stop being a brainlet.
>source: me, I'm all these things.
>become a skilled artist
Abstract visualization and creativity is a core part of high level play. I am writing and illustrating my own comic.
>learn 3 languages
Understanding syntax and the rules of how languages work is analogous to learning the fundamentals of fighting games and being good across multiple titles. I know latin german English and guilty gear tekken street.
>become a programmer
Game theory and logic flow is literally how fighting games are designed and balanced. Knowing your options and the correct response to situations in the context of a given games risk reward systems is a key part of winning at a high level. (My 9-5 is programmer)
>learn modeling, video editing and FX
Understanding work flows and how to present content in a consumable manner is basically like coming up with things like optimal combos or a game plan for how to approach a given matchup. And of course as a skilled fighting game player I have my own twitch and YouTube channel where I do all my video editing myself.

As an Ultra Grand Master in SF6 all I can say is focus more on your own self improvement rather than crying online about every difficult thing you run into if you want to see positive results in your life.

Sounds like the solution is creating a mass movement of scrubs to pick up fighting games, that way matchmaking lets you play against other noobs all day long.
>>
i like clash in dbfz any game with that thing?
>>

Let's see some comic panels. Language and programming and video editing are piss easy.

How do I get good at learning skills? I'm shit at it

It’s just frame data you pussy

They don't. Matches requiring low latency and playerpools being small create matchmaking issues that result in unenjoyable experiences for newer players. FGs are inherently random and therefore easy to play

Practice. If you're talking about natural aptitude, you're born with some level of it, high or low. I would say my aptitude for programming was quite low but instruments,.reading, and writing was quite high. You can't really change this aptitude.

What do you expect from a frame perfect autistic genre? Why do you think people play FPS instead?
>>
>>738185108
I draw, 3d model and write. You just have to practice and try to do something different(better) each time. Anyone making excuses getting better at a skill is just afraid. Not doing it means you don't want it.

I remember playing against an EVO champion who's been trying to learn to draw for like the last 5 years and still has art like a toddler. You're seriously overestimating how little work it takes to get decent at video games. /v/ is just VERY lazy.

so we agree?
If he wasn't playing enough to be an EVO competitor he'd probably have improved a lot at drawing
>>
>>738189135
No, there's no way in a million years this guy will ever get good at drawing. Additionally, video games are far more rewarding and fun than drawing. You just don't like video games.

Some people love learning and shit
