Discs can be copied. Why do you think physical PC media was phased out for the digital only DRM hellscape we are in now?

>>

Why didn't you save it if you like it so much?
>>
>>738191137
Yeah we should be triple printing hard leather cover 500GSM per page with the entire binary sequence of each disk ever released, the title turned into faux-latin obviously, and storing them in a vault in the south pole, other in a nuclear bunker and the third in space for true preservation.
>>
>>738191336
Yeah, illegally copied. If you need a nocd crack to run a backup of your legally bought disc then it couldn't be copied and you're saying that piracy is the only real form of preservation, which I agree

They don't. The people in charge cheapened out and only used fire-resistant netting at the base, safety inspectors didn't catch that because they usually only check the first few floors.

How the fuck do you even get bamboo scaffolding that high up?
This isn't a house or even at most 3 floor building.
This was a tower, fucking how???
>>
>>738193387
At the speed the fire was spreading, I don't think it would have made much of a difference.
>>
>>738194180
You already have an effectively infinitely rigid (well hopefully it's china but it's still better than a buckled piece of bamboo) element to hold the scaffolding. It's just a work platform it doesn't need to be self-resistant.

That's entirely your fault for buying from shitty devs/companies. Same thing happens with digital copies that devs still never fix their sloppy work on.

desu the bamboo scaffolding was literally not a problem
the actual issue was they mostly used flammable netting, the green stuff covering the building
>>
That fire gave us some kino hell images. Sometimes i forget how good is fire as a weapon of mass destruction.
>>
>>738196587
bamboo was also on fire so yes it was a problem
>>
>>738196587
Yeah, but the reason the scaffolding became the boogieman is that the fact they were using bamboo should have meant inspectors should have rised an eyebrow (somehow) and check everything more throughly, leal or not.
Yes it's not illegal to drive a 1950 shitbox but you should expect to be stopped more often.
>>
>>738196960
the netting ignited first
also I just remembered the actual actual worst thing were the foam boards on the windows.
Even if the netting actually was flame resistant (most of it probably wasn't) the flames burning on the foam inside of the scaffolding and netting would have made a chimney that would heat them up to combustion
>>
>>738196960
If it was non-flammable netting and bamboo the fire would most likely not spread as it did.
It would have burnt far slower, far less strongly and it might have likely self-extinguished at a joint.

>If it was non-flammable netting and bamboo the fire would most likely not spread as it did.
And metal scaffolding also would have not spread as it did. Watch the videos on the wiki page the bamboo is aggressively burning and falling apart....it's going up like matchsticks. Falling burning bamboo probably killed people on the ground trying to escape and it probably crashed into windows and spread the fire inside.

Pic related is when a storm knocked down bamboo scaffolding (It's tied together with rope) and killed workers.

>>
>>738197282
The absolute state of chink everything construction related. They culturally think taking shortcuts, cheating, and finding low quality expedient solutions is a virtue, so shit like this will keep happening forever. Just read the Wikipedia article. Everyone from the inspectors to the construction firm to the company that makes the netting was cutting corners and producing bad products. And those are just the ones directly and specifically related to that particular fire. Who knows how many hundreds or thousands of other things about those buildings weren't up to code.
>>
>>738199327
You can resurface them.
All the data is behind the label, the plastic basically is just protecting it.
