>RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH
Convince me not to replay this
>>738197680Why should I stop you?
>>738197680You should replay this, it's a great game
>>738194679What a godawful fucking game ME2 was dear lord.
>>738197680You're going to do all the same things you do every playthrough without as much dopamine payoff.
>>738194679*record scratch*A HUMAN REAPER?
>>738197924ME3 apologist from Bengaluru spotted.
does the concentrated ground-up human goo actually do anything to make a Reaper a living Reaper, or is it just the Reapers being pointlessly dramatic about their reproduction?
You know what would be great? IF MY FUCKING TEAMMATES WOULD PARTICIPATE IN THE FUCKING SHOOTING.
Do other races get their own Reaper too? Would there eventually be a fat fuck Volus Reaper getting made?
>>738197924Man what a fucking disappointment and the biggest red flag ever>Play ME1>Tons and tons of cool RPG mechanics, dialog, weapon, mako, exploration, classes>A couple of issues like random terrain generation>Also tons of UE3 jank because it's a shit engine but hey it's their first game on it, they'll fix it next time>ME2 release, they just cut almost all the RPG stuff to make a shit TPS>Story suck too>motherfucking ONLINE PASSand now everyone love that shit ass game because ahah guns go brrr
>>738197680Don't do it, it makes mustard gas.
>>738198139use squad commands
>>738194679The most memorable thing about this was the subtitles spoiling the human reaper like 30 seconds before it appeared onscreen.
>>738197680Cerberus is a donutsteel faction that's supposed to be secret but not really that plasters logos all over their shit like they're running a merchandising store, you're forcefully pulled away from the Alliance with no say in the matter, they're written like retards just so Cerberus seem "the good guys taking action", they're inept as fuck as literally every single one of their projects except Lazarus falls apart with or without your involvement, and roleplay and player choice is thrown out the fucking window whenever it comes to them. You want TIM to warn the Alliance about Horizon? You think your Akuze Shepard would never ever work with Cerberus? You want to tell TIM to fuck right off after he sends you into a trap? You want your choices from ME1 to actually matter, like with the human-only Council or Garrus being affected by the C-Sec/Spectre choice? Get fucked, go deal with your crew's daddy issues while the plot does nothing to advance from where ME1 left the Reapers off.
>>738197680>"Shepard you're gonna have to leave the ship with all 12 squadmates cramped in the shuttle like a clown van for reasons beyond your comprehension, that way you can choose your team for the next mission on the way. Oh what's that there's no "next mission" as your quest log's cleared because you thought this was an RPG so you did every sidequest before advancing the main quest? Dude follow the script the crew needs to be kidnapped alright?"
>>738197680replay it and make sure you don't cure the genophage, don't puss out.
Mass Effect 2's main story is dogshit, but that's only 15% of the actual game. The rest of content (loyalty/recruitment missions) are all very good. Some better than others obviously.
>>738194679So what exactly were the Reapers doing here? They liquidfied humans and turned them into giant robots to save them from synthetics?
>>738198638on this note if you don't recruit Wrex in ME1, that means you don't have to kill him. Then his brother will be the Chief of Urdnot, and now you can not cure the Genophage without remorse and without negative consequences
>>738198728>Daddy issues the missions
>>738198917>They liquidfied humans and turned them into giant robots to save them from synthetics?Pretty much, yeah
>>738197924It really is bad. I've been trying to replay it recently but damn what a pile of rancid shit it was. The gameplay is like an alpha of ME3 and is just so bad. Shared power cooldowns, nerfed abilities, locked weapons for specific classes, etc. It sucks that no modder has been able to rework the third game's combat into ME2 to make it bearable.
>>738194679>tfw you are playing on Insanity and are completely out of ammo so you fire the Cain at its weak point and it sails over its fucking head
>>738197680
>>738199042That applies to 3 of the 15 missions.
>>738197680I can feel the urge to replay the trilogy coming. It'll happen soon.
>>738198728>The rest of content (loyalty/recruitment missions) are all very good.
>>738198627>>"Shepard you're gonna have to leave the ship with all 12 squadmates cramped in the shuttle like a clown van for reasons beyond your comprehensionThat thing has eight seats plus two in the front. So realistically, Tali sits on Shepard's lap and Legion and Jacob have to stand.
>>738199271damn u convinced every1 bro
>>738194679The collectors plotline would have been a better first arc for the series. Not only can you avoid the retarded bullshit of Shepard being brought back from the dead and the council giving him the cold shoulder after he saves their asses, but you have a continuous buildup of mysterious threat (collectors/proto reaper) to a single Reaper fucking up the federation, to a galaxy wide invasion.
>>738197680every mission is the same, everyone is blinded by nostalgiafaggotry
>>738199752While that's true, it would have required planning, and I think ME2 is a result of a writers strike
>>738199752Someone get this man to Bioware
>>738199752>Well, what about Shepard? The guy who distinguished himself by leading a ragtag group through an uncharted mass effect relay to take care of the collectors and then showed his moral integrity by denying his employer Cerberus access to a mysterious weapon they'd use wage war against the xenos we're trying to befriend? It works too well as a first act.
>>738197680No, you will replay it.
>>738198917Yeah pretty much. Their logic is that advanced organic species will inevitably create a race of synthetics that's more dangerous than the Reapers and will indiscriminately exterminate all organic life. So to stop that the Reapers harvest and "preserve" advanced life in Reaper form before they do that.
I killed wrexI deleted the dataI let the turian bomb explodeI sabotaged the cure
>>738204214>t. Salarian
>>738204214Yeah, operating under the assumption that the Cure will in fact cure the Krogan, it's completely insane to actually use it. The game handwaves the choice because they're only more fertile, not actually cured by it.
Krogans>Salarians
>>738194679If the Reapers always turn the current cycles species into new Reapers like the stupid kid says in ME3, then how come only the Human Reaper looks different from the others?
