I don't know why but i'm so fucking paranoid about it.I've known since forever franchises like Earthbound, FNAF, etc. fans never touched a single one of the games and just watched them on youtube.But now after seeing it happens even in franchises like Resident Evil and the excuses of the fans who refuse to play the games are "You're an ableist and uhh discriminate against the poor" when you can play RE3 1998 in your phone... It's insane.Now every community i go into i assume 99% of the people posting there haven't played a single game. I'm seeing a shitload of people shill Subnautica 2 when it looks like it won't run well not even in a NASA pc and the 1st game community literally admitted they didn't play the game because "water is scary" and instead just watched Markipllayer play. I hate thinking like this but the fact that it's true hurts so much.

I know for myself I never played the first Silent Hill game or first Soul Edge and Soul Calibur games, mostly out of laziness on my part. I bet I could find a way to play them if I really, really wanted to. I'd like to play them, and I totally would if they were available to play on modern consoles. For now, I have to read up on the story or watch someone else play since my computer can't handle it (yes my computer is really not that strong). I suspect a lot of people are in a similar boat, where its too inconvenient to player older titles if they aren't readily available.Not saying thats an excuse, just a reason you may be seeing this trend.
