I have a 4080, and my past few months of game time have been indie pixelshit, Look Outside, Mewgenics, CDDA, Cogmind, Siralim Ultimate and 2D deduction games.
There was a time when demanding games at least looked good despite all the derivative bloated-budget trash that there is. But even that isn't a fact any more.

I haven't done anything requiring uncensored models but I've been considering looking into models abliterated with heretic. Go to hugging face and search for abliterated or heretic of more recent text generation models (gemma 4, qwen3.6, etc.). Not sure if the same exists for image gen models or if they are uncensored by default, still need to look into that.
Check /g/lmg/ and /g/ldg/ for more information.

I originally upgraded my gpu to a 2060S because I need it to play flycast on fightcade. Eventually I got a 4070 ti super because I wanted to be able to play all modern games without issue, and I can, but it was hardly worth it. Last game I played that actually used it was vintage story with the settings maxed, but I got bored in like 5 hours and starting playing armed police batrider.

I'm playing Hitman 2 Silent Assassin on an RTX 5090.
You can't even uncap the framerate from 60 or it has bugs. And I'm pretty sure this card would run it at 400+ fps or whatever.
Why am i wasting my card on playing older games? eh i just had obligations to play these games and i felt like it was finally time to commit to it. I'm enjoying them so that helps. Backlogs are still a thing regardless of whatever new hardware you get.
