I tried a couple more runs today. The first one I made it to layer 2 for the first time, then I fell in a body of water. I tried to dig myself out but accidentally over exerted myself and sunk and drowned. Next run I made it to layer 3. I spontaneously got radiation for some reason on layer 1 even though there was no screen effect. Don't know what that was about. Either way, I had a bad fall just before layer 3. Both of my hands got infected and as I lied there wondering what to do I suddenly got radiation again and died (once again no screen effect).

>>738251363it is plentiful and commonplace, but breaking it takes a lot of time if you want to stock upglowfruits are three hits for 2-3 foliage, mushplants are 5 hits for 4-5 musharms and craft a rope/canvas you just grab them and move on, they spawn everywhere while you're still exploring. for wood though, you have to find a prefab with wood, then spend multiple minutes where breaking each tile does not guarantee the drop you want and takes the same amount of time to break as a mushplants, and you can't explore while you're doing that. it takes away from the time you could be lockpicking boxes or trading instead, without a solid benefit. a glowfruit and the starting flashlight are enough to carry you through the first three layers, and by then you should already have a better light source, so torches are kind of useless, and they also get wet constantly.it just takes too much time
