Something that is interesting about mainstream African Americans like Speed or Kai Cenat is they have a specific type of blackness that does not challenge the status quo (such as Dontai). They likely do this to not alienate their white audience by talking about intersectionality or embodying traits and/or ideas that challenge eurocentric standards. At the very minimum, they either satirically poke fun of their culture or don't take it seriously from a racial colorblind view. It's kind of how LowTierGod has a self-hating view of his own race and says he tends to act "as causian as possible" but without active hate and passive "passing" and parody of certain black traits for a mainstream audience.

The portrayal of their blackness in media is a reflection of how well Western culture has done at ensuring African Amercians do not upset the system. The Civil Rights movement was the largest threat to capitalism due to many black socialist revolutionaries and/or intellectuals who deeply understood how white supremacy and capitalism affected them negatively. So, what is the easiest way to keep them at bay? Simple, make them love the system or, even better, make them passive to capitalism. If African American's blackness is made in such a way that they do not aim to see how underlying issues affect them, then all will be good since there's not threat to the status quo. In school, whitewash MLK to make him seem conservative. In life, make capitalism seem necessary and sign of perseverance and hard work. In sociological contexts, make racism seem more explicit and not implicitly underlying. And anytime you see anyone upsetting this surface level balance, shame them back into their surface level perception. This is why rhetoric like "you're one of the good ones" works because blacks will begin to see racism as a result of their own race and culture rather than the result of centuries of oppression by the very eurocentric values and system they are actively and/or passively upholding.TL;DR African Americans are becoming more American than African.
