i cant stop autistically restarting my games. ill play for 2 solid hours and take a break, then when i come back i need to make a new game. i do this any single player game, city builders, total war, battle brothers, factorio. i cant complete anything

This is why I started prioritizing games that are under 20 hours. I'm far more likely to remember the gist of what's going on and how to play if I initially think I have an actual chance of finishing it. Doing this with games that aren't narrative driven like Factorio and Total War is really strange though. Those are my "fire it up whenever Im bored and I can just jump right back in" games. Narrative driven games are harder to jump right back into because it's like resuming a movie you paused halfway through, two weeks later, you're just not invested enough anymore at that point.
