Through early OSX mac was actually better and I will die on this hillApple just made objectively better, more stable, and more secure operating systemsIt went to shit once Apple started locking more and more stuff down and treating the user like more and more of a retard though, the software divide started leaning more heavily towards Windows and Microsoft also caught up on stability and security so there was eventually no reason to stick with mac especially if you cared about customization and power user stuff>b-but muh gamesIn those early days both systems had boatloads of games and many popular ones were on both, it was essentially like SNES and Genesis. The divide really only started to become a big issue a few years into the 3D era where console games were getting PC versions and few made it to mac.
