Before that it's a bit of a trainwreck and just feels like wasted potential nerfed for time restraints or something. A confusing game for me because I could see how it could be the thing they probably wanted but for some reason it just could get there because of capcom reasons. It's like the city section of RE9. There's potential but they kinda fall short a bit. Though that game was much better cooked throughout the game elsewhere.

She knew that he wanted to tell people that dead filament was extremely dangerous. But her method of doing that was to introduce them to its deadliness directly. Whether she truly believed that was what the doctor wanted, or if she had her own desire to avenge the Doctor and Daisy is up to the player's interpretation. I'm sure being affected by the negative emotions of the dead filament didn't help matters either way.

Game was a lot of fun but beyond how cool the intricacies of all the combat layers interacting is the rest of the game felt really shallow to me.Diana is cute, but almost all of Hugh's dialogue boils down to 'adult using every talking moment as an opportunity to teach a lesson to the kid where it all has that kind of saturday morning cartoon fake cadence to it all. With how Hugh talked to his crew in the beginning about robots and kids I figured there would be a cool period before he'd warm up to Diana so that there would be some character development or something.Combine it with how shallow the story is to anyone who has ever bothered to read scifi, plus how dumb Eight's motivations are, there wasn't much for me to grab onto. That said, I will admit I did get pretty teary at the regular ending. That was some good, emotional acting from Hugh's VA.
