How do you deal with the fact that you're getting older and that all your favorite games are 15 years or older now? I don't have that problem because I'm not nostalgia biased. I played all the greats growing up and cleared my missed gaps before I was 20. I made sure to pirate everything I could and hack all my devices like my psp, my 3ds, my switch, got into vr. Made sure to exploit the government to escape the rat race, and danm well made sure I always had the latest and greatest hardware on my autism tugboat. I don't live with my parents either. The fact that countless nostalgia accounts on Tiktok and Instagram farm the shit out of people pining for the earlier days with reels of classic Java-era MC and THE music is some proof of that, albeit conjecture. Portal 2 is pretty decent though, if you want to play that it is just Portal 2 pretty much. Really though I was just joshing for the most part, you need to find games that are fun along the way. Every so often there might be a title that sparks that childhood joy in you or honestly drives you to want to play more. It's fine to have favourites, I still go back to play stuff like Sonic Adventure 1, Strife or DaS PTDE. I've got like 800+ hours in that and still come back every so often even though the online is more or less dead, even with fixes, after they capped it.
