Does anyone know why FFXII appears to come with a manual for a playable demo of the game...? I would have sworn it was a random throw in by the eBay seller but it's in multiple listings.
>>738221784What a masterpiece. From the graphics at the time, the OST, gambit system, exploration and not to mention the voice acting.
>>738221784dragon quest included a demo for ff12
>>738221882It's probably my favorite final fantasy play mechanics wise, nixing random encounters and the openness of the world was a revelation at the time. The plot proper was a little wanting but the world was excellent, lots of fun to explore
>>738222189So the playable demo manuals are from DQ?
>>738222735yeah. its one of the best selling ps2 jrpgs ever. theres lots of copies out there.
>>738223017OK thank you.
>>738221784>FFXII Collector's Edition on PS2 not only came in a metal case with a different cover art, even the cover art for the manual and art for the game disc were different from the standard edition of the game, and of course the CE came with the making of the game DVDThat had to be the most based fucking thing I had ever seen for a game where the CE/LE for the game having different art for everything including the cover. Most commonly with CE/LE copies of games, it is just the cover that is different but the art for the manual cover and disc are the same ass the standard.
FF12 is charming, beautiful and soulful. It's also perhaps the most boring game ever made, with simple gambits taking you through perhaps 90% of the combat. Even adding a fast forward button to later releases couldn't make it less mind numbing, and the story in all releases is threadbare and shallow compared to its predecessors. It's so interesting how it's a masterpiece and also a terrible failure at the same time
