I replayed bloodborne recently, and while some of the boss designs still feel very good, I found that I just wasn't as wowed as I was when I first played it. The fast paced combat isn't particularly fast by elden ring standards and while I recognize it as stand out from the other games, I don't particularly care for the setting. i think the biggest strength of dark souls is how much unmittigated gameplay you get and unless you die the flow is not interrupted by anything. You are constantly in the drivers seat making decisions. It makes more cutscene and menu heavy games feel like slogs after playing a good dark souls game
