Played through Lords of the Fallen a few months back. It was really good. Definitely not AI because of sensible map layout and design with lots of looping back like the original DS1 had (doors, lifts, drawbridges, etc; giving short cuts after you have progressed a good way).Combat is faster and much more satisfying than DS1 which feels clunky now, but its nowhere nead the retarded spamfest of DS3 and Elden Ring.Interesting lantern gimmick which is tied to a Cthulu-esque style of magic that compliments the 'radiance' (heavenly angels) and 'infernal' (evil demons). I died to it the first few encounters and was a bit mad that I didn't get to have another go at first; but this actually made it a memorable rival and when you do finally kill it, it feels great (toward the end it is a repeatable-until-killed encounter like other bosses).The devs changed body type 1/2 to male and female and had an update that gave female characters more traditionally beautiful model options. Lots of customisation for replayability, including a boss gauntlet which I really enjoyed testing out different builds in once I'd reached end game. It was a really good game. I hear it had an awful launch, and journo-trannies and /v/odomites probably hate it because the devs removed the 'body type' degeneracy in favour of male and female; but right now its a great game and all the faggots bashing it need to be called out.

Someone said that the endings were obscure and impossible to figure out and I'd only half agree. I found myself completing a good ~75% of most quest lines without even thinking about it. Some of the final steps were a bit unintuitive but I also wasn't exactly trying to figure them out (for the most part), I was just going forward and killing stuff. The 'light' ending is also really straight forward (after you kill each end-zone boss there is a corrupted 'beam' going up into the sky and if you walk up to it you can 'purify it'; purify all red beams and kill final boss and you get radiant ending. The other endings may have been a bit more complicated but for a one-and-done playthrough there weren't many if really any obstacles to completion; though I know there are tons of hidden side quests for different weapons and armour; to me thats the perfect balance, obscure stuff for the diehard souls fans, but nothing that actually stops progression for the one-and-done player).Lords of the Fallen isn't some perfect masterpiece, but at least in the form its been in for the last 6 months; its a solid 8.5/10 game with lots of good ideas and everything well imagined. The attitude of the devs is also great to see; if one person has the game a friend can download it for free and play co-op in their world, lots of patches to make the game better, lots of mods to customise the playthrough too.I had one bug on the final boss where it became unkillable, but after quitting and restarting the game it worked properly.
