You want to switch your brain mostly off
Try terracards

at our age, cortisol is doing more damage than it used to. the vast majority of games are violent, tense, or contain any other number of anxiety-producing challenges. We have real life for that.
>though I also would recommend Terraria, Stardew Valley or Factorio

You're fine.

Just enjoy the games you like to play and don't worry about how many awards a particular game gets. If anything, buy less new games. Every year there will be the same number of "award winning" games because it's the same awards every year. That's not really much of a milestone.

Puzzle games are small, simple, and easy to pick up and play. It's not surprising that it's easy to get into them. If anything, Generic Picross #365 is going to be better for your brain activity than Award Winning Walking Simulator 2028 will be.

I want ADULT games with ADULT characters
children don't even have money to buy games, silly devs.

>>738237480
Holy shit op are you literally me?
>>
a lot of those award winning games are boring cinematic experiences or gambleslop with different coats of paint.
Simple puzzle games probably make more use of your brain and have a higher gameplay density than most AAA slop and quirky indies.
Play what you enjoy

If you're going to waste your life on vidya then logic games are the best option. But at least graduate past babby phone versions.
