Kazooie > Threeie > Tooie
What could have been
why do millenial boomers worship this piece of shit? nintendo still makes games in the spirit of banjo and even surpassed it (bananza and odyssey)
Threeie is when the series started the downward trend that brought us to the absolute shit that is modern banjo. Sixie is troonslop garbage for tendie adults and it only sold because of launch hype and the Rare review score bonus
>>738238765I wonder what they would have done on the new hardware. Tooie was already so big. What kind of levels do you think it would have had?I bet a space level. Maybe a sweedish mountain level could be like mumbos mountain from the first one.
threeie is real, pretty decent, and you should play it
>>738239313there have been five banjo games and people only like one of them, with a handful (including myself) willing to stand up for Tooieand people wonder why Microsoft won't do a new banjo
When was this box art first made cause I feel like it’s been around since 2001.
Tooie > N&B > Kazooie >spoiler]Diddy Kart Racing[/spoiler] > Grunty's Revenge > Banjo Pilot
>>738241750>spoiler]Gu-Huh”
>>738240067Found this from 2007 and even then there's people saying the image is oldhttps://www.therwp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12448
>>738239429Tooie is interesting because I regard it as being extremely soulful, and made with very good intentions. However I think its so poorly designed its kind of fascinating. The fucking super big levels mixed with the very "walk here and push a button" gameplay is so bad. Crazier that Yooka-Laylee looked at this problem and decided it was a draw and doubled down on it
I remember booting Threeie up as a kid and being amazed how many things there were to do. Granted it was my first Banjo game so I didn't have much context to how many collectibles there were in the two previous games
>>738239313I got this game with my GBA, lost it like a week later, only played it to completion this monthIt's impressive as an attempt to port a 3D collectathon onto much weaker handheld hardware via isometric 2D, and it certainly scratched the BK itch for me, but I think if I didn't have an attachment to Banjo I would only call it a 6/10, an adequate game that I would only play through once. I think it would have benefitted from reducing Jiggy count per stage from 10 to 8, since some of them are just out in the open on a path you have to go down anyway; the stages are really small which is fine in its own right, it was just clearly hard for the devs to place 10 Jiggies in them. And it's probably better than the reverse problem DK64 has where grabbing everything becomes a slog.
>>738238765Kazooie is kinda boring desu, collect-a-thon is a curse
>>738241950>Crazier that Yooka-Laylee looked at this problem and decided it was a draw and doubled down on itReplayee fixed all that, will you play it now?
>>738244983I plan to, but its hard to muster up excitement to play a game that promises to fix a bunch of issues when I already didn't really like the game overall. Like, I could be playing kemono eroge instead
>>738244983>Bought original game>Disappointed>"We fixed it all guise, we swear!">"Give us moar monies tho lol"Absofuckinglutely not.I already paid for a sub-par product the first time. Why would I trust you to deliver this time?Make it free for people who already bought the game the first time around, then we'll talk.
>>738241950I wish I didn't agree.
>>738239313played this while in rehab, pretty good game
>>738239313That's an interquel, or a Tooie prequel, not the same thing.
Banjo was never good
