I think fanbases in general (gaming, movies, etc) need to stop giving so much of a shit about arbitrary dates.
Shit takes longer to make in general now. No you're not entitled to Star Wars announcements on the 4th or Mass Effect announcements in November or whatever. Things will be announced when they're ready to be.
Trying to rush things out to hit a """"significant"""" anniversary or date is how you end up with Sonic 06's release.

The updated artwork of the Kotor characters on that May the Fourth image and the reveal of the new Black Series toys of Carth and Mission a few days ago did make me wonder if they were finally gearing up for a Kotor remake re-reveal, but I guess not. Oh well.

I thought it was alright, better than I expected at any rate. Stealth was barebones and apparently a lot of the stealth sections were immediate mission failure if seen before they patched it so I can see why it pissed everyone off back then

Disney needs to be, those kind of fans are all they have left for Star Wars. I understand not working at a company, anymore plenty of people make solo projects work. They have the talent obviously. That's just how it is. They see a game with a decent foundation for Star Wars content and they just work with that. Though only a select few non-Bethesda games out there actually has that modding potential. Total War, Mount & Blade and Blade & Sorcery are the only other ones that comes to mind so far. And of course official Star Wars games like the Jedi Knight and Battlefront games also gets heavy mod support.

This rumour pops up every now and then. There is no way Disney will retcon it especially because all the Mando live action tv shit builds into it. They are likely just going to silently move away from it and focus on something completely new. The fact that they've smashed the 'break in case of an emergency' KOTOR glass suggest that they banking on the last well liked and popular area in Star Wars by the fans
