idk why but when i heard this guys accent in the first audio log he was in, i thought he was japanese lol.

also man the flamethrower is weird, it kinda sucks. i guess it's useful for taking out little enemies and crippled enemies but idk. it seems that every other weapon in the game holds to the philosophy of 'keep that motherfucker away from me' and then the flamethrower kinda fails to follow this

i'm using the plasma cutter and flamethrower only for this playthrough. i'll try out the other guns in ng+

Yeah the flamethrower isn't that good but it's an option for the gangs of little 3 tentacle dudes who leap at you. The plasma cutter is fine for the whole game. Have fun anon, it's a banger.

One thing I thought was silly was how the fuck did a single dude wipe out the entire military ship lol. That dude is like the isaac of necromorphs.

I like how the fire turns blue when you fully upgrade it but yeah what a shame. It is kinda neat to use the alt fire and stasis together, but man the plasma cutter is an insane weapon compared to it and doesn't require as much messing around. Good flamethrowers feel rare in videogames. I heard it's really fucking good in 2 and in the remake of 1 tho.

Thanks, it's been pretty cool so far. I should look for the artbook if there is one or some kind of design document because it's so cool how almost everything in this game down to the menu options stick to the skeletal/rib aesthetic.

A couple other thoughts, I'm genuinely surprised you're not allowed to mercy kill the soldiers stuck like this, and all of the decals/logos/advertisements are really well done.

Yeah he's the necromorph that chases Hammond into the bridge who Hammond traps in the escape pod that jumpscares you when you go to meet Hammond. If Hammond hadn't launched the pod the Valor would have been fine. They probably had orders to kill you though.

Hammond is a boss in this game and goes out like a boss. He's the guy in charge of the mission trying to keep his team alive with the Ishamura falling apart around you and Kendra's constant doomposting, you can really hear it in his voice. I'm not going to spoil the remake for you if you have designs for that but its biggest sin is how it recharacterizes everyone and Hammond gets it the worst.

The line gun should not be that high. It's a fatter, more ammo hungry plasma cutter that only cuts horizontally. Force gun I'd rate higher, both its primary and alt fire a generally better option and doesn't have the same ammo problems.

Honestly I just thought to myself, "Oh that's not good." They're fucked up but not like 'holy shit I'm going to die' scary to me. The normal? necromorphs with that psycho charge/leap and the skinny ones that split up into little tentacle heads do scare me a bit more. Oh and also the 2 legged ones with the long tails are creepy. It's the speed that gets me.
