I recently tried wow and I was baffled that you have to pay to play this game and on top of that they have an ingame store charging you for extra mounts.I looked in to it and apparently it started with this model in 2008, nearly 20 years ago, and people still see no issue with this shit? Unless you suffer from FOMO it's s non issue. Especially in WoW where these items are hidden in a shop window. If stuff like that is in game but then a "pay now" window pops up it's scummy but if you put it somewhere where you have to actively go I don't see the issue.
