I just think Wuthering Waves is at the peak of the entire gacha genre right now.

The story beats and scenes in the game are so good that it's just destroying other gacha games. So while other and new games are going through their 1.X phases, Wuthering Waves is over here fighting mecha in space with all the musical stings and DmC combat odes and so on.

It reminds me of XIV's Shadowbringers, where it's like, you can play that or you can play some Korean MMO that just launched and is finding its footing.

Have not played Wuva in a while since the god awful 3.0 patch.

But I am guessing I can predict all of these "hype" moments from the game.

Sad banner character takes you to sad place and something happens and you and banner character go fix that bad thing - with a flashy cutscene and dramatic music that solves the problem of said banner character or leaves said banner character in a ambigious state that need no further elaboration.

The only two characters that have any meaningful interaction in this patch was the main character and the banner character. The banner character then disappears completely or gets a cameo in the next patch.

The next patch is the same, but with new banner character.
