>>738243817played through it recently since i remember it from when i was a teen and never got very far, it's really fun, evade at +10 is a massive help for some of the bigger hitbox enemies like plesioth hip checks, i haven't played P3rd, moved onto world after clearing G rank in FU and world fucking sucked. clear cut case of capcom forgetting how to make video games yet again.

FUdrones get off on the game being ball bustingly hard instead of actual fun. No its not fun to fight blos who constantly waste time digging, shitty hitboxes monsters, and garbage ass siege fights like gaoren and lao. There's a reason why everyone cheeses the entire game with bowguns. This series didnt get fun until 3rd gen.
>>738245515it sucked, what made MHFU fun was the routing, learning the monsters, playing smart, prepping for each hunt, i played a fair few hours into world and it just had none of that. that might change when you get to iceborne, but to be honest i'm not going to sit through many hours of a game being dull before it starts to get fun, MHFU started out fun because it didn't treat you like a moron from the start.

p3rd is the peak monster hunter. right in the middle of oldschool and modern (not that modern) monhu. damn great game killed by not having a g-rank

P3rd started the decline of the series. Gen 1 and 2 were HUNTING games. 3rd gen shifted the games towards just another hack n slash action game.
