After I got into card games through master duel, I tried out all the other card sims and I'm not gonna lie, Runeterra might be the best card game right now, its like yugioh but not hyper combo crazy. Only problem is the money you have to spend to truly try it out.

Using the wildcards I updated my Grixis Brawl decks with new cards and to satisfy the 100 card requirement and I've been enjoying it and Historic. And then I try to play something else and now I have no wildcards. My goal of making a Golos deck needs 40 Mythics lmao. I have maybe another day before I get bored.

You draw your high cost shit too early or low cost shit too late. Or in MTG you draw lands when you need creatures or vice versa.Yugioh is a little better in that respect, but it has its own luck problems because of how hard the game has power creeped over the years. Snowballing special summons into OTK moves. But it's very rare that you get stuck and can't play anything. The fun part of yugioh is the complex interactions between unique card effects. In MTG everything is just a 4/4 with Trample or whatever. It's boring.

Part of the fun of card games is opening packs and rune terra is afraid of letting you do that. Its also way too tutorial heavy.Master duel on the other hand gives you like 30 packs to open for free right off the bat then it gives you so many gems you hit gem cap so you can build any deck you want, which is why people make new accounts all the time
