People who like ds3 the most factually never liked souls in the first place. Des ds1 ds2 are all metroidvania zelda games with slower pacing and a sprawling world. Most areas are accessible right from the start, you'd only avoid going there because the enemies are harder than others. They just avoid the popular design of their contemporaries where every level is a one way straight line.
