They have good quest design in the sense of lots of different ways to approach a quest and different outcomes.Skills in KCD 1 were largely trivial or just flat out not good but the idea of having seemingly arbitrary skills like drinking and flower picking is a good thing and should be maintained for the RPG / character progression feeling.KCD 1 is also extremely easy to break both in combat and economy but most games are and it's not something that need to be shied away from at the cost of a worse game overall.
