Just finished the first game is the second one or worth trying. also why they make the girl gay
>>738264946As a story? No.If you liked the gameplay in the first one, you should like it again in the second.
>>738264946No, both gameplay and story are a huge downgrade from 1. Just replay TLoU1 on Grounded as it's a way better experience.
>>738264946It's better mechanically but takes a dump narratively. 1 worked because it was ultimately an extremely safe and tropey story about a jaded grown man turning into a protective papa bear for a young girl that reminded him of his daughter. All it needed was to have a good presentation and the rest basically wrote itself. 2 tries to be subersive and unique and thoroughly shits the bed and is only remembered as the The Last Jedi of vidya.
>>738264946If you liked it then second one is better gameplay and graphics
>>738264946purely for gameplay and aesthetics, yes. you probably won't like the story.
>>738265350>gameplay>a huge downgrade from 1just say the story fucking sucks and be done with it, no need to be a dishonest faggot.
>>738264946>whyA literal kike made that game
>>738264946Ellie is gay even in the first one you just finished dumbfuck.Read between the lines:>she's spunky and edgy for a teen girl, like a tomboy>the magazine car joke, sticky pages, well endowed pictures>implying Bill's gay>also implying Ellie's gay, because she's unfazed by the sight of it, she has no interests in men>she's also underaged, that scene is fucked, no straight girl would be acting and talking like that with said material on hand>throughout the game she specifically dropped hints about losing someone she loved dearly>actually name drops her at the very end scene of the game, Riley, a female nameDLC literally shows them as a pair. Nobody cared then. Somehow it becomes one of the main argument point when Part II vame out lol.
>>738264946Second has better gameplay, better story, better cinematography, groundbreaking technology at the time (still is), a pinnacle in technical art, and yes it came out at the right time, all the controversial shit wrapped around it is a deliberate move to challenge the current views on cultures. Anyone that shits on TLOU II are Joel sympathizers. They're akin to BLM sympathizers, Joel dindu nuffin. These are the favelan IQ dumbfucks that idolized Walter White or Joker despite them being the fucking worst of the worst villains. Fucks with Connor McGregor despite being an absolute cunt, also into a manosphere like Andrew Tate and shit. Dudebros like Eddie Bravo or The Deep from the Boys LMAO.Kojima was pushing the same agenda with his MGS games waay earlier in the 2000s, it was riddled with LGBT fanservices, political propaganda, he did Abby first with The Boss (who was as swole as Snake, in fact she was the better fighter and mentored fucking Snake), and it also has all the fucked up shit you expect from weeb pulp fiction, torturing scene (brutal, but hot), unnecessary sexual favor scenes (staple in the series) child dating, child trafficking, child slave armies and killing etc, and MGS are the original "movie" games, especially with MGS4 long ass cutscenes and then the walking sims with V and of course fucking Death Stranding. He casted Lea Seydoux who specifically rose to fame with her lesbian sex movie and has now worked with fucking Hunter Schafer, a literal troon. It's all a deliberate move, including that tweet of him with the pink / rainbow shirt post and him boosting and liking all the YAOI fanart of his shit. It's like virtue signaling or something saying he's cool with it, not because he actually supports it, he just wanted the attention as always.>b-but it's okay when Japan does it>I l-love Kojimbroo!!
>>738264946>also why they make the girl gayNever complain about a hot white girl being a lesbian. You know what the alternative is and it's far worse.
>>738265350Part II gameplay is massively improved, it's fucking intense especially, and even more with Grounded on Part II because of the higher fidelity and realism. Auditory as well, it's fucking kino. The dynamic motion synthesis in Part II is phenomenal even to this day, it's the industry standard in technical art. The chinks and gooks are now following suit as well, trying to add the same to their action shooter games. Part I was in a weird place. It's a game that came out at the end of the PS3 life in 2013. It looks and plays like a dated 2008 game even back then. It's video gamey, with all that "push this box to climb" puzzles that riddled part I most of the time.Part I was sudden shift of tone from Naughty Dog. This is the same company that made fucking Crash Bandicoot. TLOU is grounded and realistic, dark, gritty. Gameplay, story, lore etc. This was the first shift from ND. Part 1 wasn't known for being groundbreaking in tech art.Uncharted 4 was the real groundbreaking title at the time, that puts ND into the spotlight, on the stage. It sets the bar for tech art in vidya. They also took the same grounded/gritty narrative from TLOU Part I and applied it to Uncharted 4. And it was great. Gone are the cartoony dumbfuck MCU quippy old Uncharted. All the legacy games are so awful, they're basically reskinned Bandicoot cartoony platformers with guns and awful MCU quips and one-liners. So Part II came out, same old grounded / gritty narrative and execution, but now with all the glorious tech and tricks they learned from making Uncharted 4. Part II was the best looking (and feeling, controls, physics, motion synthesis) game of that year, and for a while too, and it was done on the fucking weak, base PS4.
>>738264946>why they make the girl gayLoxism
The second one is a much better game but a considerably worse story. So, depends on your priority. If you're seriously invested in these characters you'll probably be annoyed but if you want some good ol' rootin', tootin' and shootin', it's one of the best games on the market.
>>738268902>This is the same company that made fucking Crash Bandicoot. Is anybody still left from the Crash days?
>>738269028Joel isn't the center of the universe. Ellie is. For the last time, Part II is more about introduction of Abby and Lev. Their story is what carried Part II and onwards into the future. Part is more Abby / Lev than actually fucking Joel / Ellie.Joel / Ellie is more like a fucking filler to set the dominoes going in Part II. Why? The bigger picture. Part III is going to be the trio WORKING together. Abby, Lev alongside Ellie. This isn't the Witcher. Joel is not fucking Geralt. While even in the books Geralt is seemingly the center of the universe, or rather POV, he's not the actual "main character" of that fucking universe. It has always been Ciri. Ciri is Ellie. Elder Blood. The Wild Hunt was trying to escape the impending death, apocalyptic, escaping eternally, trying to flee Ragnarok, which was caused by Loki. Now what or who do you think Ciri is? Two sides of the same coin. Neo/Smith adjacent. Christ/Antichrist. Wild Hunt wanted her blood, her ability because she has reality warping powers. She is a Spacetime bender. So theoretically, she could use her powers to transport the Hunt into safer place, away from Ragnarok for good. Technically, that's like transporting souls or consciousness into a new vessel, a container, a new world, a new fucking Matrix. The fucking Rapture. Ascension, Transcendence. Loki/Ciri are two sides of the same coin, end of beginning, beginning of the end, in de beningging type shit.
>>738270098This isn't about Joel, I was fine with him dying, it was the logical thing to do for the sequel. If anything, I wish the game hadn't spent so much time jerking him off in flashbacks just so he can still have a major role after his death. My problem with it is that it's a revenge story between two people that didn't have the guts to kill off either of them. Ideally, for me, it would have ended with Abby killing Ellie. Not because I don't like Ellie, but I felt the most satisfying note to end it on would have been with Ellie dying because she couldn't let go of her meaningless quest for revenge. That's what it felt like it was building up to. Or, hell, killing Abby and then killing herself because she realized she had thrown away her life and her family to pursue that revenge. But not on a note of "and then they just went their separate ways."But yes, the next game, if they ever make one, would probably be about Lev. And I wouldn't mind it, I liked him finde, I want to see what happens to him.
>>738269320Idk, but the early Uncharted games are literally just Crash with guns reskinned with human models. When I was trying to catch up and make my way up to Uncharted 4, I was physically, mentally, psychologicallly, spiritually in pain trying to get trough the legacy games (Nathan Drake Collections, for completionist purpose like learning the story and lore). My soul ached still. They were the dumbest, most infuriating games I've ever played. Like literal braindead babby arcade shooters and muh Mission Impossible QTE platforming cutscenes. I was thinking, like how in the fuck is this series praised so much in the mid to late 2000s. I played Crash games growing up on PS1 but I never had a PS3 or PSP for Uncharted, so I've only read and seen shit about the series being """""good""""".
