Poison Song in a little over three months, if all goes wellhttps://www.tamriel-rebuilt.org/content/2026-05-03-meeting-summary-poison-song-release-date
>>738267247Nice, I still have some time to finish my current playthrough. Looking forward to be able to join House Indoril
>>738267247
Is Patch For Purists worth it? I'm no stranger to "Unofficial Patches" and most of them cause more problems than they actually fix
Fugg. I was hoping for the release this June. And the autumn is loaded for me. T.T
>>738270604IIRC it doesn't put in weird new mechanics or gameplay changes like Arthmoor does
>>738267247Good
>>738267247nice
skinny boy
New mod from Doug, now how exactly do you get Edwinna's letter
Draugr race
Do i play poison song or wait for the full hlaalu land I still need to finish the cyrodill update Also any news on the Skyrim hotn update?
>>738276253Are they gonna patch these into Solstheim too?
>>738276570Poison Song is Indoril.
>>738277506Aren't Solstheim Draugurs different to Skyrim ones? Something about cannibalism.
>>738277629No idea, I don't remember Solstheim's story for theirs.
>>738267247My biggest problem with the new Sundered Scar is that you're supposed to eventually get your Indoril stronghold, Ida Vano, there, but the region is absolutely miserably ugly. Like, not ugly in a 'bad' way, it's ugly like it's supposed to be, it tells the story and it looks like a great shithole to adventure in. But I don't want to have to LIVE there, you know? Why would I want my house on top of barren polluted bud surrounded by far-smelling sulfur pools and no plants or trees? It just seems disappointing in that context.
>- Services Survey to ensure good distribution of availability of typical gear, spells, alchemists etc. - Add new “baseline” restocking quests to merchants so as standard there’s good access to simple potions, spells etc.Restocking quests? What does that even mean
>>738277506I don't think TR plans on touching Solstheim at least until they get to Redoran territory (its vanilla location conflicts with the northwest mainland iirc)
>>738278154It'd just be neat to see these there, since they look a lot better and more varied than the vanilla ones. Also have the ability to use equipment (and potentially spells) which makes them more versatile.
>>738278056probably a typo or someone mishearing something. I think they mean chests, not quests
>>738277705They should make it so that building Ida Vano terraforms its surroundings to make them prettier.
Playing with N'Garde, it's a nice refreshment to the combat. The only thing I really hate about it is that Skeleton champions with shield + short blade becomes hard as fuck. Also found this quest tracker mod that's pretty neat. Kinda insane that there are over 1,6k quest spread between basegame, DLCs and PTR>>738276570>Do i play poison song or wait for the full hlaalu landJust play Poison song when it's released, it's going to focus on house indoril and their going to partially rework some of the old ebonheart questlines too. You can do a house hlaalu playthrough when they release Wealth beyond measure, as I think then Hlaalu would probably alone have 100+ quests in TR.Also any news on the Skyrim hotn update?Sounds like they are getting close to finishing the update, so I think they are the next PTR release Poison song. They are also remaking parts of the released areas and filling them with more quests and stuff, so that's part of the reason the updated has taken so many years. >t.This pajeet interviewd some shotn dev. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u66qoiIl_qc
>>738278459I would hope so, you know? Just putting a house there on top of unmodified sulfur durt doesn't seem like it would constitute building up a long-term powerbase, let alone attracting anyone who actually wants to live there or work for you. Isn't the theme supposed to be building up a 'garden'? Even if you can't fix the whole place you can at least try around your house.
>>738278548>Also any news on the Skyrim hotn update? There's a couple lingering Hammerfell assets but most of the remaining stuff is quests. They have, sadly, not made much progress on doing quests since they can't decide on anything, so you might need to change your expectations. It's going to take forever. I think the biggest blocker that's not a quest line is Old Hroldan though, which is supposed to be a megadungeon that they haven't even STARTED yet.I think my biggest disappointment with them is not letting you join the Companions though, they plan on the same soulless, culture-less Fighter's Guild as every other province currently.
>>738270604Take a look>https://file-metadata.nexusmods.com/file/nexus-readmes/100/45096/2%20Patch%20for%20Purists%20Version%20History.txtI just had a quick look, I'd say it's worth it.
>>738277705>Indoril give you, the outsider, a land deed in one of Morrowind's most inhospitable regionsThis feels like a cruel joke
>>738267247Reminder that Cyrodiil City is planned to be smaller than Almalexia, Wayrest, and Alinor now.
>>738279040It's poetic in a sense, since it's supposed to be nearby Nerevar's actual original Indoril chapel that sunk into the ocean. Problem is, you know, the actual region looks horrible to live in post-Red Mountain.
it's really weird how a couple hundred super autistic people all decided this game in particular would be the thing they devote their entire life to, and then formed a whole guild around it.
>>738278602Terraforming magic (Alteration) exists, and the Telvanni use it a lot to build their stuff. They could help with the right nudge.
>>738279151It's possible in-setting, the question is more if the TR team is going to do it or not.
>>738279117And the world is better for it. Tamriel Rebuilt is better than anything Bethesda has made in almost 20 years
>>738267247I'm fucking enraged that there's plans on removing the Drenym Spa.
>>738279048relax, the plans will change five more times in the 10+ years before the implementation even starts
>>738279048It's like a decade from ever being made if it ever does, plenty of time for plans to change
> Arvud is not being redone, but should be included in the interior survey.ffs why? Its probably my favourite small town. This village has AURA
I just want the game to be BALANCED and for there to be a POINT in doing shit. Not more contentNot more shit to doThere's so much of it already.I don't want the game to explode the moment I touch alchemyI don't want enchanting to dunk on magic or give me infinite solutions to a problemI don't want spellmaking to instantly turn me into a godI want actually decent fights that aren't instantly solved by a single optionI want an economy that actually functions and isn't raped in the ass by a single soul gem
>>738280779Honestly this, I mean these massive world building mods are cool, but it's all bloat.I'd much rather a mod that basically just refines and expands the core game massively rather than just adding more of the same.
>>738280948It's the consistent problem I have with TES games. They build a huge skeleton as a foundation but never sanity check it.
>>738281015in his element
Okay but Markarth Side when?
>>738267247I am a lorelet, why is Mournhold called Almalexia on the map? or am I just blind and missed mournhold elsewhere, I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be that big ass city.
>>738279048I still think it should be the biggest. Hopefully by the time they get there OpenMW and people's PCs can handle it, though.
>>738281873Because the cities from which the Almsivi rule the province are named after them. Unlike Vivec and the Clockwork City, Mournhold existed before Almalexia ruled, so it uses both names.
>>738267247did they fix the crashes
>>738281873Mournhold is the bit you go to in the DLC which is just part of the greater city of Almalexia. Not sure how that works in TR tho now that they're redistributing everything.
>>738282028>>738282090I see, thanks for the sincere answers
I've been playing a bit of Tamriel Rebuilt, but does anyone know why Narsis looks like New Vegas? Don't get me wrong, it looks cool, but we've known for years that Bethesda envisioned the city in the central plains. It would make more sense to have Andrethis and Heimlyn Keep be the red desert mesa places instead
>>738282135Because this is just a concept map and they're free to ignore it, like they're not modding Vvardenfell back to just being Ashlands. They wanted a big desert city rather than Balmora 2.0.
>>7382821351. It's cool2. The concept map is usually considered okay to contradict for regions, since it comes from before TES3 was downsized to Vvardenfell. Most of the regions on the concept map were already shoved onto Vvardenfell in some way or another. 3. Some art from Battlespire implies a southwestern US style desert somewhere in Morrowind, so they put it in the south, where it made the most sense.
>>738282135>why Narsis looks like New Vegas?I wish New Vegas looked half as good as Narsis. Fuck consoles and fuck load zones
>>738282790To be fair you can't get TOO fanciful for literally Las Vegas.
>>738267247I've never paid much attention to this, so they're almost done with the mainland for morrowind after all this time huh?
>>738283973Not really since everything east of the area highlighted in the OP pic is ancient generally low quality stuff that's slated to be redone in the future
>>738283973no
>>738282135why not
>>738282135Because they're making every region unique if they can afford to: it's why they're reworking the shore in poison song and plan in reworking the Telvanni peninsula. The only thing that isn't new or unique is going to be the mainland Ashlands. If they did central plains, it'd be a repeat of landscape on Vvardenfell, which is a big no-no.
>>738283973They've done about 60% of the mainland. 70%-80% of Redoran Territory hasn't been started, House Dres territory is still yet to be started, 20% of Hlaalu Territory is unfinished, but is the next area planned for release, and they're almost done on indoril territory with poison song, minus Almalexia and some reworks. The Telvanni are the only lands currently 100% complete, but they're still planned to get a rework.
>>738285828>70%-80% of Redoran Territory hasn't been startedEh, I wouldn't say that. I'd say closer to 50% of Redoran hasn't been started, the Clambering Moors and Grey Meadows externals are being worked on at a pretty good pace right now. That's roughly the bottom half of their territory.
I remember playing Morrowind back in the day and mods were so coolthey added stuff like NPCs who'd be your friendnow there are so many overhaul mods that it's hard to parse through what's good and what sucksI want Morrowind with Morrowind music but super immersivesince I'm an old fart now I can't replicate the wonder and headcanoning I did as a kid that was easier back thenthe magic is gone, the spell is broken, there's just an old man left
Oh, they're moving Gorne to the inland sea. I liked it being on the edge of the earth.
>>738286241I think it was over the biome or something?
>>738286241>>738287307I think it's just naming autism. Gorne still exists in the same place but with a different name and they've added a new Gorne to the inner sea.
>>738286241Part of me kinda likes there being an official Indoril island in the Inner Sea. It's like it gives the House a presence local to Vvardenfell beyond the fact the Ordinators and Temple in Vivec are mostly from the House. It makes Dres stand out a little more for being the only house without any Vvardenfell influence though, but I guess that can't really be helped with where they are.
>>738286241Honestly it makes more sense for Gorne to be near Vvardenfell assuming they're keeping the House Dagoth connection. Also, the Inner Sea didn't exist before the Battle of Red Mountain
>>738288517Yeah it used to be a much bigger and verdant heartland central to House Mora, Sul, Indoril, Dagoth, and other less relevant houses that are now extinct. Though Dagoth also used to control the northern part of modern Vvardenfell, which was less of a shithole back then too.I remember some obscurer lore that it was also where the Dunmer honored Lorkhan, who other sources paint as the only 'Aedra' the Dunmer respect/consider the Altmer wrong for opposing.
>>738267247I thought that was a big update post but it was just a meeting update and the main page hasn't had an update in over 6 months
>>738289189I think they just finished the Kemel-Ze redo if you want something recent.
>>738289236It's sad they're shrinking it
>>738282135it's because a lot of the TR design work started before the Morrowind concept map came out, so sometimes they do their own original stuff and sometimes reference the concept map
>>738267247I just wish the Skyrim project did the three following things1: no flat roofs, my nigga if it rains in an above average amount or snows not civilization would make roofs flat. Nah dawg.2: flying whales, the voice, totemic religion + give me conan the barbarian meets vikings. My latent cimmerian DNA calls for it.
>>738289572>no flat roofsI think that's just the Redguards in Karthwasten and Dragonstar. They're totally fucked though.>Flying whalesThere's off-and-on talk about them but like everything unique and exciting in SHOTN they keep putting it off>The VoiceThere's a recent submod working on that.>Totemic ReligionThat one's in.>Conan the Barbarian meets VikingsNords aren't really Conan-esque barbarians but Dawnstar iirc is made up of literal vikings.
who is the best modder rn
>>738289871me
>>738289324Maybe they'll embrace Labyrinthian being labyrinthine.
>>738269335cool
>>738289442I think the worst effect of this is the Mudflats region they're planning.
>>738283771why
>>738293260Because it's a real place that has to resemble itself, anon.
>>738289667Want to make it even better, import the Skyrim OST. I do the normal and the London Phil version of far horizons.
>>738281015Hes just like me
>>738279048>reminder that not in the game is smaller than not in the game, not in the game and not in the game now.How about complaining when any of this shit actually exists?
>>738295470But that would mean holding my complaining in for at least 10 years when they start work on Almalexia.
>>738279048nigger you'll be in the retirement home when that comes out
Niche complaint here but I really don't like Shipal Sharai. Canyons exist because water carves through them. A canyon this tight with a road acting as a canal is just asking for the village to get inundated the next time it rains.
>>738296048To be fair, there are canyons where they were carved in prehistory and they never get heavy enough rain or the waterflow follows a different canyon path in the present.
>>738296048sounds to me like you've got just the right amount of autism to help out the project, congrats sonside note if you're a tranny fuck off instead <3
>>738289324They're having trainwiz doing another dwemer dungeon somewhere to replace it apparently
>>738282135>WHY DOES IT LOOK LIKE (new) VEGAS
>>738298443Fang Lair, Bthzark, Volenfell? Those are the only famous Dwemer ruins I know of beyond the ones already in the base game or TR.
>>738298708Nah, it's not going to be any particularly established ruin, just a new bigger Dwemer one in the mountains, around the size of Parudma's Maw.
>>738298829Ah, it's one of the original ruins and not one of the famous ones. Nothing wrong with that. If you think about it, the most intact stuff would be in the ruins that haven't been explored as thoroughly (read: aren't super famous) anyway. Less successful looters.
>>738298829woah, fallout 4 but good
>>738276253>>738278154These models look extremely out of place. I thought ignoring Oblivion and Skyrim was the whole point, what the fuck is this shit?
>>738299408Well, for one, you've never played Bloodmoon, which already had Draugr in it. For two, these are for SHOTN, which takes place in Skyrim. It ignores Skyrim (the game) era lore, but obviously it's going to depict Nord cultural things and Skyrim's environment, which are yes, going to look 'out of place' on Vvardenfell. That's why they won't show up there.
>>738299494>Well, for one, you've never played Bloodmoon, which already had Draugr in it.Not at all what I said, good job starting your post with a retarded bad faith argument making sure I will promptly not read the rest. Go fuck yerself.
>>738299567You shouldn't expect anything else if you don't bother explaining why these would look 'out of place' in Skyrim, or how this somehow is them not ignoring Oblivion and Skyrim.
>>738299616They look out of place for Morrowind-era Elder Scrolls's art style, retard. When you look at the model, it just makes you think "Hey that's literally just the draugr from Skyrim" and therein lies the problem.
>>738300225Only major difference between them and the Bloodmoon Draugr, outside of a better texture, is a straighter back and hair. The Bloodmoon ones are baldies even if hair is one of the last things to decay.
>>738277705>Like, not ugly in a 'bad' way, it's ugly like it's supposed to be, it tells the story and it looks like a great shithole to adventure in. But I don't want to have to LIVE there, you know?Yes, yes, welcome to the nobility. Enjoy your muddy fields and malformed peasants.
>>738300342>the only difference between them and the Bloodmoon Draugr is that they look nothing like Bloodmoon Draugr and instead look almost exacty like Skyrim DraugrExplain to me, why are they making original assets at all? If they're going to be doing this retardation, then why not just import all of Oblivion and Skyrim's assets as-is? It would make the job easier for them.
>>738298829>>738299034>miss>miss>miss>you have been inseminated by ̶g̶i̶a̶n̶t̶ ̶m̶o̶l̶e̶ ̶r̶a̶t kwama warriormmm
>>738300642They don't even look like Skyrim's Draugr outside of having hair. At least anymore than they look like Bloodmoon Draugr. Skyrim's Draugr are a lot more nasty and with shittier armor/rags to boot.>Why are they making original assetsBecause the original Draugr was a creature, these are an NPC. They can have different heads and use equipment. The goal is to have more variety and difficulty in the undead of Skyrim, since with an entire huge province you'll be dealing with a lot of undead crypts and such.
>>738300751You are actually coping so hard, those are literally just Skyrim draugr, down to the blue eye glow and the Ancient Nord armor design, with the iron shoulder straps and fur underlayer.Your thesis is that the model actually DOESN'T look like Skyrim draugr? Are you insane? Do you think other people don't have eyes?
>>738300965Skyrim Draugr eyes were actually extremely bright and glowing, these guys have dull blue eyes.>Armor designI have some great news for you, because they're NPCs, their armor is actually separate equipment and not part of their model. So if your actual issue is the armor design, that can be swapped out easily.
>>738300642Because Bethesda would slap them in the dick as hard as they did with every other mod that had the gumption to rip assets from their other games
>>738267247ok
>>738289236>>738289324why are they shrinking it? was it just stupid huge for a tiny little quest or something?
>>738304010same reason they're gutting quest dialogue in OE - to make it more in line with vanilla
>Claims needed:> Foul Murder epilogue. What? Isn't this questline in the game and complete already? What needs to be changed with it?
>>738304079is there somewhere I can look up the changes? I'm curious, the hidden quest was cool but a bit silly and at times far too difficultI don't remember much of the OE ones other than getting that one bitch alcohol so she can get drunk which I hope stays in because it was really funnyI'd prefer if OE stays as a noobie quest area
>>738304234its not finished yet
