It annoys me that epic for all their resources failed to learn the one lesson from steam that Gabe has been vocal about early on and what the platform continues to do to this day: make it easy for users to use. Nobody is perfect but steam offers a whole bunch of secondary features to their store that entice customers to stay and that is where epic failed so naturally nobody is going to give a fuck about it. GOG at the very least has a different goal (rather than being "not-steam") which at least gives it a niche to sit in, albeit it could do with more polish its launcher galaxy is learning the right lessons and is quite a powerful tool within itself. Where galaxy falls short is simply it doesn't have the momentum behind it steam does but it is slowly getting there.Also cheevo fags need not apply any day of the week.

I'm old enough to remember when Timmy said PC was a dead platform and said consoles were the future. So I'm understandably skeptical about using any service provided by him. He has no vision, he has nothing but contempt for me as a PC gamer. He only came crawling back to PC after Gabe turned his company into a multi-billion dollar titan of the industry solely by facilitating PC game sales. Timmy looks like a greedy little kike trying to dip his beak in after realizing his mistake. And to do this he offers me basically nothing good. Free games? I can pirate anything I want for free, which I still do. I haven't bought a AAA game in over 5 years, but I've played several. Steam is convenience, plain and simple. Using more than one launcher is inconvenient to me. I prefer to use one launcher unless you have a good reason for me to switch. And no, free games or exclusives aren't good reasons. I will pirate what I want, and if I can't pirate it, then oh well. I have plenty of games already on Steam. I'm not uninstalling it so I can repurchase a fraction of the library on your shitty store.CEOs like Timmy simply don't realize they're in a service industry and they have to actually sell stuff to the customer. Talking down to me and shaming me isn't going to make me give you money. I give GoG my money sometimes when they have a better deal than Steam. Because I don't need a launcher, and it's DRM free. If I have to use a launcher, I want it to be the only launcher I need.

I use Ubisoft, EA, Amazon (apparently I have that) and even GOG Galaxy (prefer to just download the installer instead of using the launcher) a lot less than EGS. But I don't ever see news of their owners seething about me not using their launchers. They just take the L.
