He probably also has a private pension from his time at Sega, so yeah.Also, Japan has a "mandatory retirement" age. Probably sounds weird, but people are literally required to retire, usually at age 60 but I think it recently was raised to 65 and may eventually go higher as the population ages. Basically it means that retired people get paid less, but are also obligated to receive their benefits like pensions. A lot of "retired" people still work, like over 50% or something, because they wanna make a little bit more money to live more comfortably in retirement rather than just coast and chill. In practice, it's very similar to what white collar workers in the US tend to do.I don't know how the above system interacts with him being the guy in charge though, as opposed to an "employee" in the traditional sense.
