>millenial eceleb making a custom character
>they make them as ugly as possible cause LOOOOOOL SO RANDOM
>They name their character something quirky like GLORP or BREP

Why are millenial "gamers" like this with custom characters?
>>
IDK why not just play the game yourself instead of watching people you don't like do it

FPBP, op is a fat nigger

Because they're usually trying to entertain an audience and not coming across as cringe and autistic by making it clear that they do not take this silly videogame seriously

Hey, let’s keep things constructive here.

It’s fine to be curious about trends or styles you don’t personally like, but framing it in a way that targets a whole group (“millennial gamers”) or mocks how people choose to create characters tends to derail discussion rather than encourage it.

People approach character creation differently. Some go for immersion, some for humor or absurdity, and others just enjoy experimenting. That variety is part of what makes gaming communities interesting.

If you want to have a real discussion, try rephrasing your question in a way that invites perspectives instead of putting people on the defensive. Otherwise, we’ll need to step in to keep things respectful.

It's meant to be funny because of LOL SUBVERSION.
*shrugs*
Works on me, I laff when the protagonist is locked in a serious dialogue and he looks like a thumb-person called "Flabogor".

If devs didn't want that, they'd provide a list of presets.
Ones that players can't pick outside.
And that'd be their choice, plenty of good games have done just that.
And plenty more still have chosen one sole protaginist choice.
It's about the type of game the devs want, and the type of game YOU want.

That's the beauty of vidya gaems.

They were brainwashed by cartoons when they were kids, don't hate them too much.

I always do
>grug caveman / conan the barbarian
>blond aryan viking chad
>anime waifu (usually 2nd/3rd playthrough, or first if breast physics/upskirts possible/porn game)
>most stereotypical thing possible if I can't do white caveman/gigachad (steretypical wushu chinaman, camel jocky, basketball american, etc.)

I think it has more to do with being an eceleb than a generational thing. I always make a cute brown or asian chick if possible.
