I want to collect ds-3ds era games but even games nobody cares about are like $30 + $4-$8 shipping + tax. Was it really not like this prior to covid?
>>738278246>i want a piece of plastic that literally dies if you dont play it enoughcollectorfagbros...
>>738278416It's a hobby. It's not supposed to be practical or productive. It's supposed to be fun.
>frogDogshit thread
>>738279380What should I have used for the OP?
>>738279482honestly, just a DS concept pic from wikipedia like this would be enough for this thread. I'd have posted a ds/3ds game screenshot but that's just me.
>>738281249Posting a game screenshot would just get people who never played the game in the first place arguing how it's shit instead of replying to OP's topic, or the game would be part of a series with a psuedo-general on /v/ and all those fags would come here to do their gay ritualposts.
The games that people dont care about will inevitably be the ones that get expensive and people do care about (because its expensive). The better and more popular the game the cheaper and easier it is to get.
>>738281551>would just get people who never played the game in the first place arguing how it's shit instead of replying to OP's topicI'd do it for the free (You)s kek. So yeah in your case the concept pic is the best.
>>738278246Isnt 3DS extremely easy to hack and don't 3DS games have a limited lifespan until the cart is corrupted?
>>738278246the medium truly nobody cares about is used books. pre-pandemic, a used novel was $5. now they're $6.50 each.
>>738281750Unless it's pokemon.
>>738278246Games exist for one reason: to be playedCollecting is for soiboys that dont even like videogames tbat much
>>738282238He's a collector, he doesn't play the games he buys, hell, he probably doesn't turn on the consoles and handhelds he owns
Did you try japanese copies? Ace Attorney trilogy games have english even in the japanese release
>>738278246The market is all fucked and collecting nintendo shit is no longer viable for most people.
>>738279205what's fun about spending money on pieces of plastic that don't offer any practical advantage over piracy? especially on a console that is so easily moddable like the 3DS so you can play on the original hardware (that's the only real incentive to collect games in most cases that I can see) without shelling out cash. like, PLAYING games is a hobby, but I don't get collecting in and of itself. I mean whatever, it's your life, I just don't understand it.
>>738282238I'm sure all broken cartidge games can be repaired with soldering.>>738285678>>738285782I do play every game I buy. Buying physical games actually increases the urge to play them.>>738285794I'll look into it. Thanks.
>>738286258I don't know. What's fun about collecting stamps or trading cards? You can just look at them online, but something about ownership feels good.
