I'm glad you managed to remember the game OP. I hope you don't mind me using your thread to get some help too. I'm trying to find a game from my childhood that I was too scared to play. An older relative would play it on the family computer and I'd always go in another room when he did. I remember that in the intro there was a wolf or werewolf howling with blood splattering over its shadow, I guess that might have been a logo of the devs but I'm not sure. The game itself was a TPS if I'm not mistaken. In one of the first level you'd get locked in a room and would have to fight some enemies but I don't really remember what they looked like, maybe something like the enemy from Amnesia. This was around 20 or so years ago.
