I like the trackpads for the extra functionality rather than for the "mouse controls". Seeing as how the Steam Controller sold out, there's clearly a market for this type of controller since it sold out of its first batch pretty quickly and its only "unique feature" are the dual trackpads since 8bitd and GameSAAR already out out controllers with up to 4 back buttons.
