>decided to finally try this supposed masterpiece>70% of "gameplay" is just walking slowly with someone while placing ladders or planks as they vomit expositionI just now realize just how much damage this shit did to gaming
>>738281640Only true before you exist the quarantine zone. There are walkie talkie sections still, but they make sense for the pacing since the combat sections are highly intense and frantic.
>>738281640The story is also pretty mid. Plot gets hyped up like crazy for some reason its nothing special.
>>738281640Couldn't even pass starah's part, I was scared stiff
Great game. Seeing new beauty is the enjoyment in games mostly, as well as the motivation to play.It really stands out for it's ethics near the end.
>>738281640You're way too late to play this. 90% of what made TLoU "good" was the presentation, that was at the time one generation ahead of what the rest of the industry was doing. Playing it in 2026 it's nothing special and shit that passed as revolutionary for blending cinematics with gameplay like doing mundane shit while the character chitchat and comment is aggravating after over a decade of that shit. Play TLoU2, gameplay is much better and the sheer level of jewish subversion at display in the story and writing turns it into borderline parody, it also still has that "woah" factor with the presentation because the industry has stagnated and even went backwards.
>>738283035Neither of these movie games were anything beyond liquid shit you cocksucking fucking tourist. Go back.
I quit after 40 minutes of walking and talking, which got old after the first 5 minutes. It wasnt immersive, it wasnt interestingIf I want to watch a movie ill watch a movie
>>738283086He's wrong for saying play TLOU2 but TLOU is top ten stuff and it's sad you don't see that or missed out on that. Indeed on the PS3 it was impressive.
>>738281640No shit Anon realized why PS games are called as Walking Simulators in 2026
I really respect Kojima more now because he puts all that shit in a cutscene you can skip.
>le walking and talkingHappens like one time in the quarantine zone before the fireflies attack
>>738281640This game has horrible ludonarrative dissonance. It tries to sell you a realistic world where you're just another guy trying to survive, then you get a gameplay section and sneak-murder like 20 oblivious mooks.
>>738284507Good. It’s a game after all. Would you rather he kill 6 people the whole game and then go to therapy for PTSD?
>>738281640the walkie talkie sections are like 10% of the game, <5% if you play on Grounded. It's one of the best horror action experiences on Grounded.
>>738283874No thanks. I'd rather play than watch.
>>738285248I agree theoretically, but not in practice. I don't think that's ever been done in an interesting way and practically I'd rather have decent gameplay interspersed with cutscenes you can skip on a second playthrough than forced slow walking/sliding through a crack in the wall "gameplay."
