Then from out of nowhere a huge title wave lifted, tossed like a cork and I found myself on top of him face to face with the blow-hole. I could barely see from all of the waves crashing down on top of me but I knew something was there so I reached my hand and pulled out the obstruction!

>>738293157I like the Mario Advance games a lot but SMB Deluxe is really rough. The screen crunch means you can barely see what's coming and need to make blind leaps of faith at times. By comparison the Mario Advance games benefit greatly from the GBA's wider aspect ratio.

The biggest mistake the SNES and GBA did was remaking the NES games. Yoshi Island aside, there needed to be an actual sequel to SMW and the GBA needed its own definitive Mario title. I remember the rumors that Super Mario Advance 5 was coming and it was going to be a port of Yoshi's Story.
