It's noon on a Wednesday, which is a weird time to have a weird video games thread. Post the weirdest video game you know.
A hentai game where you play as a naked boy getting raped by clown women in an underground labyrinth
it's 10am not noon
some games are just weirdly figmented

>>738321921There was this weird "straight shota" dating game that was included in those shareware compilation CDs in the 90s. You played as a student and would date the female teachers. There was no nudity or sex or anything explicit but it used real photos which were actresses who had their appearance slightly changed and had midi versions of licensed music like Bruce Springsteen and George Michael. I think it was called Teacher's Pet or something similar.
Roommania 203.>Serani Poji [ja], a fictional musical group within the game, was jointly developed by Sasaki, producer Yukihiro Fukutomi [ja], and singer Yukichi. The group is heavily influenced by the Shibuya-kei music genre, and would go on to release several records as a legitimate musical group.[5]

L.O.L.: Lack of Love>Lack of Love (or L.O.L.) can be considered a genre-defying game, though it has strong elements of adventure (problem-solving based on exploration) and RPG (character growth and management). The game's unusual premise is the evolution of an alien being.

Tokio>The framing of the game is that the Tokyo metropolitan government, sick of having nowhere on Earth to expand, puts up a space station, “Tokio,” and declares it the 24th ward of Tokyo. So on top of the usual city-management, electoral campaigning, and government-policy stuff, you also have to set space shuttle schedules (it is an Artdink game, after all,) manage oxygen, fly people to the moon, and buy supplies. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CzPVtd3MzMc

>>738327235The answer to this question is indirect, but very interesting. There’s an archetype of user in the retro gaming scene that plays and records footage of a lot of extremely obscure video games, including untranslated Japanese indies; an archetype of user whose rise to cult status coincided with the increasing popularity of ironic/facetious humor on the internet in the 2010s, so they give you the impression of being very self-aware and in on a lot of in-jokes, but, in reality, they’re actually doing it unironically and want you to think they’re a lot smarter and cooler than they actually are. These users are the predominant source of the anti-Haunted-PS1 rhetoric on the internet. They might give you the impression that the only way to play a true video game that’s authentically retro is to play games made by other people at their level of intellect and that anything attempting to imitate Quake-style polygons in a modern engine like Ultrakill or Paratopic are tranny poser shit, when, in reality, a lot of games like that are more sincerely made by smarter people than a lot of what this specific type of user is interested in.The most well-known example of this type of user would probably be Saint (Saintttimmy), who occasionally gets posted here, but there are a lot of guys like him that have similar policies.I would just recommend playing anything that looks good and doesn’t have obvious pride culture/Marxist stuff like pronouns.

Goes without saying, but Killer7 is such a beautiful game. It kicks ass and it's just strange.
It's a shame you can't have truly unique games like this anymore because there's this weird self-referential thing going where any modern day game like this would be trying too hard into the weirdness like all those itch.io PS1 slop games.
>>738333797I think Yo! Noid 2 is the only good example in that kind of game, but I agree. Millennials' greatest weakness is that they make everything a reference.
Anyone played Labyrinth.os yet? I really want to grab it but it's a little expensive and updating Itch games is a pain in the ass. It was getting patches multiple times a day for a while.

>>738332541I think their last truly oddball game was Deracine in 2019. Duskbloods looks cool aesthetically and there's weird stuff IN their games like the mimic balls, but it ain't the same.
