>>738324402He's kinda right in that moaning about your lost past is often man-child behavior. Normal people just accept the responsibility of adulthood and enjoy the present moment.

I'm more of the exploit-your-nostalgia-for-comfort kind of person, I'd probably love replaying strike force heroes, heroes of might and magic VI or rise of nations. But instead I read harry potter 10 times till I just got sick of it
>>738325442I played oblivion when I was 15. I was so hyped for that game after morrowind. Holy fuck what a disappointment

I used to have a tomboy friend. Some girls in games remind me of her, like Saria from Ocarina of Time or Ilia from Twilight Princess. I always cry during those parts of those games, I miss her so much. I wanna go back

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JkR7zClEkAoIt goes double because I used to play Runescape on my grandparents' laptop instead of spending time with them whenever I stayed at their house and I've deeply regretted that for a long time now.

I'll agree with the anons saying that this isn't something you should mourn about. I am very prone to nostalgia and really love to revisit my old screenshots or savefiles. Same goes for games and music in general from my childhood. Yet I feel no sadness or longing for those days. They were good, very good even. But they had their time and place and now it's different, which is the way of life. No other things have their time and place. So what I actually like is the feeling of having experienced those good times, which probably is a very roundabout way of saying, that I like nice memories.Somewhat related story: When playing a Link to the Past for the first time as a 8yo I needed days just to get Zelda out of Hyrule Castle and died like 20 times doing it. Then https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PRwSZF08Yks&list=RDPRwSZF08Yks played and when I had to go I was moved to tears, since I thought I was leaving her behind. My mom came in asking me why I was crying and just told her, that the music and EVERYTHING just was so sad.
I’m more happy now actually
in my youth i played shitty games, because i couldn't tel between good and badnow im playing even shittier games, but for money.
>>738324340I'm sure keeping those emotions bottled up will pay off in no time anon.

Why the fuck do people glorify their youth, childhood, whatever? It's a mental prisonThe best time is always the present, it's where you have all the control. Your memories and prospects of the future are merely figments of imagination that never live up to the reality of how things actually went or how they transpire.
