>use a basic bitch logitech wired mouse for about 15 years>no complaints other than the scroll wheel kind of sticking for the past 5 years or so>decide to pop it open and try cleaning it>wheel spins perfectly againI should have done this years ago. Ten minutes of cleaning could have saved me years of dealing with a finicky wheel.
For me, it's having to scrub the surface of the mouse since it's got this mild texture to it which seems to serve no purpose other than collecting dead skin cells
>>738324905I just buy a new one
My Logitech MX700 lasted a literal decade without problems. Newer models start getting malfunctions after two years. What happened?
>>738324905My scroll wheel was getting harder to use for a while now, and I tried opening it and couldn't find any dirt or whatever that's supposed to be clogging the wheel, so a few weeks later after I got really fed up with it, I just went unga bunga and forcefully scrolled the wheel up and down really hard and it somehow fixed itself.
>>738324905>g403>scroll up>it randomly scrolls downHow do I fix 'er?
>>738325171reported to peta for mouse abuse
>>738324905Every 1st party gaming mouse I own always ends up with the scroll wheel breaking or double clicks eventually. I also clean my mice very often and thoroughly. After years of this bullshit I caved in and bought a cheap chink gaming mice off AliExpress and it just werks after 5 years with not a single issue. Never buying Logishit or Razshit or Steelshitties ever again
>>738325131enjeetification of the world>but chaynaHATES jeets, even went to war against them. chinkshit is built to last, but not to take abuse
>>738324905my mouse is fine
I don't understand logitech. if they want to make money why not reproduce the logitech g600? its literally $240. is this company ran by a woman?
>>738325171this always fixes it for me (for a while), g703
>logitech>let's discontinue our nest tech>let's make shitty products from now on
>>738324905I haven't used a mouse wheel since 2002
>>738326189people are still using wheels? it's mind blogging to me.
>>738325171you don't need a wheel anymore. Just a clean mouse pad
>>738326572>>738326459Do you click and drag the scroll bar like an ape?
>>738326714depends on the OS
>>738326714it's not my fault you have a shitty mouse
>>738324997bit wasteful
>>738326714have fun cleaning the shit out of your mouse
>>738326714I used to use mouse balls as sling shot ammo
>>738325842the current double-clicking mouse problem is because every other manufacturer is getting their garbage switches from the same chinese Omron factory. the indians don't even make that sort of hardware
>>738324905Really annoyed, ejaculated the other day and a chunk of it landed on the mouse, seeping through the spaces between the buttons.
I went from Logitech to steel series thinking that the scroll wheel wouldn't get fucked up within a year or 2 of use. I was wrong. Are there any mouses that aren't garbage?
you guys need to learn how to fix and update components
>>738327003logitech g600. there is a reason why it's so expensive. it's also out of production
i just buy a new onemy acidic ass finger oils end up corroding the plastic and making it sticky over time, there's no cleaning or fixing that
>>738327140acetone cleans it you dope
>>738327257i tried that and it just made it worse after
>wash and dry hands thoroughly before touching devices every time>Clean dry hand towel on standby>gamer grease still builds up after single useSome of us ogres just weren't meant for happiness
>>738327294bronze cleaner?
>>738324905I was thinking about making a poll thread to ask anons 1) How frequently do your controllers break and 2) how regularly do you clean your controller?I am pretty sure the people claiming a thing like a xbone pad breaks so fast are actually filthy animals. Like I feel when I get some flaked skin or hair in my analogue ball and blow in to get it out and works fine again.
>>738327308put on lotion/moisturizer after washingthe act of washing dries out your skin, leading to more oil production which is what the gunk is
>>738327140>>738327327how about not having cheeto fingers? wash your hands before you touch your mouse?
>>738327429retard
>>738327475my tech works. you're the one who has the problem
>>738327536retard
>>738327557ignoramus
>>738327424Thanks now my mouse is covered in my mom's lotion now it smells like her which just makes me even more horny
>>738327353I've never had a controller break in over 30 years of gaming. I don't clean them very much, just a bit of a wipe down maybe once a year or 2.Controllers break for 2 reasons - people either throwing them or slamming them when they're raging, or insensitive people mashing the buttons with 50x more force than is needed to actuate them.
When will mouse merchant fucks stop hiding the screw holes under the pads??????? Umm, EU? Make this heckin illegal.
>>738327353I only replaced my old 360 controller I used on PC like 3 years ago when the left stick couldn't register a full tilt to the upper right anymoreI don't think some hand grease has much to do with the durability, every time I've opened a controller or a handheld up to check something its not like the crap around the edges of the buttons was getting inside.
>>738324997FUCK YOU YOU MOUSE MERCHANT KIKE
They should replace mouse wheels with a strip of track pad / Steam controller pad. Precise scrolling, no moving parts, no breakage, no dirt. Can even register horizontal scrolling too.
>>738328047Oh yeah the dropping that the people probably forget or maybe don't realize is the easiest way to cause some defects.
>>738328620it's not in their interest to make long lasting devices
>>738328620See this part? It should be a touch surface like the Steam controller pad. Normally a scroll wheel but precise like a track pad and with horizontal scrolling. Then you can reconfigure it as buttons or an axis if you want.>>738329073Reeeeeeeeee!
