The village part in the original RE4 is literally pure perfection. It's the most perfectly designed video game section of all time by far. But the castle part is about equal in quality to the remake and the island part is way better in the remake.

The reason why I like RE4R more than the remake is because I have played the original to death. The original is too easy, has terrible boss fights minus the Verdugo and the quality goes down fast the second you leave the village.
