What were they thinking during development?
>>738330487They werent
a fun but flawed game
>>738330487If we make a game completely incomprehensible to brown people and troons, the white man will eventually come home. And it's working.Todd won again.
>>738330487Something along the lines of "FUCK YT PYPO"
>>738330487>modders will fix it
Thinking in cubes. Who would willingly eat this stuff?
>>738331930>the future = hope, for everyoneThe idea of "todays western world but with spaceships" made sense in the 1950s when America was still forward looking and full of vitality and positivity, but the idea of a spacefaring civilization being a continuation of the post-9/11 west is inherently ridiculous. A civilization whose only values are power, pleasure, status, and the worship of weakness, with no higher aspirations or "irrational" desires, is at a spiritual dead end. The idea that technology is going to launch us into an exciting future (instead of reflect our society and become our clingy helicopter parent) is pure technophile retardation. We cannot maintain our infrastructure, cannot keep druggies off the streets, cannot stop gang violence, cannot engage in large projects without 33 layers of parasitism intervening and sucking the life out of it. Could you see the population of modern-day Chicago or New York surviving on Mars? Of course not, someone wouldn't get their meal worm bag and their first course of action would be to chimp out and smash the life support system, killing everybody.Settings like Warhammer and Battletech, which present a more "archaic" and "irrational" mankind, are genuinely more realistic than the world as presented in Starfield. Look at how spiritually dead this world is. Would such a people use technology to leap to the stars, embracing all the discomfort and uncertainty that this comes with? No. They would invent a button that makes them cum when they press it, and keep pressing it until they died in cum stained pants. That is the end game of cosmopolitan liberal democracy.
>>738330487That they can do bare minimum and just like with Skyrim it will be carried by modding community keeping it afloat.
>>738330487>What were they thinking*indian noise
>>738332039Aren't Wendy's burgers square?

>>738332049Well didnt expected to read established criticism against Starfield. Too bad i didnt even bother with this game but you are right about west. Today's western civilization turned into some kind pre Spanish eldar with every kind of debauchery.
>>738332834yes
>>738331917the credits are 45 minutes long because there are 3,000 Indian names on it to which they outsourced developmentStarfield is the single most jeeted game ever made
>>738330487"Gee I sure hope covid doesn't mindrape everyone to the point they fabricate gay retard drama about trivial things and start crying about loading screens despite being fine with them in every other game they play" probably
>>738332039It's cheap food made to be easy to long-term store and transport through space and zero-grav environments. IIRC it fills a role similar to Star Trek's replicator.
>>738330487>They will buy it anyway, who cares>Modders will clean up our mess as usual
>>738330487>keep it simple, stupid
