Both are good, but I lean more towards Tactics Ogre.

Tactics Ogre, most characters in FFT disappear from the plot once they join your party, while Ogre has plenty of optional scenes and dialogues with its characters. I do, however, think that Delita and Ramza are better written than all the other characters in both games.

Both are great, but I think I prefer Tactics Ogre a bit more
