Describe the splatoon 1, 2, 3 single player experience (i can pirate all 3)
>>
Why is she so flat?
>>
They're fine. Probably not worth going out of your way too play. They're just a nice bonus to the actual multiplayer parts of the game
>>
Meh

Octo Expansion tho Octo Expansion
>>

It's so hot.

Only played 1, but it's like a basic tutorial followed by Nintendo's best boss fight of the 2010s and worth playing solely for said fight.
>>
>>738339387
Have fun watching people player raiders, faggot!
>>
>>738339387
in terms of singleplayer content it's
Octo Expansion >>> Splat 1 > Splat 3 > Side Order >>>> Splat 2
>>

1: glorified tutorial, short but still fun. The final boss is legitimately fantastic though. I'd play it just for that fight alone because it really is great.

2: the same as 1 but with some new gimmicks and a way worse final boss

Octo Expansion (2's DLC): made for people who beat the first 2. Instead of fully fledged levels you have short challenges (break all the targets, defend the area until time is up, etc). There are a lot of them and you can choose from different weapons in each level. The superboss you unlock by beating every level is really difficult but in a fun way and not a bullshit way.

3: it's a mixture of the 3D platforming of 1/2 and OE's challenges. It's generally easier than OE but still a good time.

Side Order (3's DLC): has a roguelike element where you progress through levels and get various powerups as you go. The concept is great but it's lacking in level and enemy variety so it can get boring after your first few runs.

If you're only playing one, go for 2 and do Octo Expansion after you beat the campaign

>Splatoon 1
Very solid and fresh, good starting point for a completely new player.
>Splatoon 2
Just okay, total retread of 1's campaign.
>Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion
The best singleplayer campaign of the whole franchise, I won't say more.
>Splatoon 3
Great campaign, incorporates good stuff from Octo Expansion
>Splatoon 3: Side Order
ROGUELITE slop, also everything is cream and cum-colored
>>
Definitely play 3's campaign and OE.
>>
Side Order is great for your first 2-3 runs then you realize you've already seen everything and get sad.

1 and 2 are decent. OE and 3 are great. Side Order is also great, fuck you. Raiders looks really cool, co-op pve extraction shooter type of thing

Side Order is still fun for all palette runthroughs. Each one has at least a fun gimmick build or two
>>
1 story mode>2 story mode>side order>3 story mode>octo expansion

Here's the definitive list of all single player content
>Splatoon
Fun time, basically a big tutorial on how to play the game and practice all your shit for the multiplayer. Final boss is fucking rad and is a perfect culmination of testing you on everything you've learned, one of the better designed final bosses they've done in a long time.
>Splatoon 2
More fun, but more of the same. I think playing these back to back might feel too samey. Again the final boss is cool, but moreso from a story/character standpoint rather than gameplay.
>Octo Expansion
The absolute peak of Splatoon single player content, best level design, best music, best content overall. Banger final boss.
>Splatoon 3
Took a lot of great lessons from Octo Expansion. Feels less tutorialy and more of a full-fledged campaign. Second best. Final boss kinda jumps the shark but it's fun.
>Side Order
Roguelike that is super fun to go through, but ends up running out of steam a bit too quickly. Not bad by any means, I love it, but it definitely has less content than you'd want.

I have high hopes for Raiders, but I do hope they don't take the wrong lessons from Side Order and make it too grindy.
