what's the best hard mode hack for the og paper mario? there's three if im not mistaken. master quest, master quest jr, and dark star.

Master Quest Jr. is designed for those who played Paper Mario a long time ago and remembered it being easy so they want a more demanding game, while regular Master Quest is made for Paper Mario superfans. Dark Star takes stuff from Master Quest and is around the same difficulty as the Jr version, but it has quite a bit of new things as well though it kinda gets a bit bloaty in my opinion, so just play one of the Master Quests.
