It's basically going to be practice for another OoT styled Zelda game developed after it, same as the Metroid remakes (both Prime and Metroid 2) or that Paper Mario remake
Star Fox seems to be a series where they try to push more technically realistic graphics, so I'm pretty hopeful that OoT won't get hit with the same LE REALISM stick, at least for characters/enemies.

Like say the child portion is super fleshed out and as big as original OoT. and the adult portion is different too. Same story but different.Similar to how oracle games sort of went together, the child link and adult link games go together.
