Only played the first game (It was shit) a few years ago. I'm going to start 2 and 3. What am I in for?
DMC 2 - Pretty bad. Camera is a little bit less annoying, but the level design, bosses, and enemies are so bland and easy. The main villain is just... there. The story is boring. Also practically no weapon variety compared to the first game. Lucia is a bit fun to play as for the first 20 minutes. The game also has no real continuity to the rest of the DMC timeline. You literally can just skip this game, but if you really want to play it, it's short and easy. I beat it in less than 6 hours.DMC 3 - Pretty good. Some of the enemies are annoying to fight at times, but it's rewarding when you learn how to fight them. The story is engaging. The amount of new mechanics and weapons is great. This game also adds styles. Most of the boss fights are really fun and hard. There's a reason a lot of people love 3.
DMC2 is utterly bad. Just skip it and go straight to 3.
>>738348148Maybe your taste is so fucked up that you'll hate DMC1 and like 2.They're both close enough to the first one that if you hate that one, you probably won't like any of them. There are some changes so if you have very specific problems with the first game, you might not have that problem with one of the others. 2 is a noticeably worse game, though, so even if you don't want DMC1 again, it'll still disappoint.
