Star Fox Zero
>Great art style, the best designs in the whole series
>gameplay sucks and is full body fucking gimmicks
Star Fox (2026)
>ugly art style, the worst designs in the whole series
>the control scheme seems to be more traditional, like the n64 version, and all the gimmicks are optional
two sides of the same coin, what do you think?

It would be hard to make a game that plays worse than Zero. At this point, I don't expect them to make a new Star Fox that's as good as 64, but it would be nice if they got close.

Star Fox Zero still uses the "Command head".
>>
I thought Zero was pretty fun but it's obviously worse than 64. I hate to say it but Star Fox is like a mid-2000s Sonic tier series. 64 is the only game in the series I'd consider really good, like a 9/10. the rest are 7s and under.

There is no way they aren't going to fuck up the gameplay. The feel is going to be all off, it's going to be laggy, sluggish, all the minor mechanics from Star Fox 64 that contribute to the feel of the game are going to be glossed over, and there is probably going to be a ton of accessibility/casualization bullshit.

I don't know star fox, were there difficulty modes in the og?
>>
>>738356000
No, the difficulty was built into which route you took. There were "harder" levels that you'd have to fulfill certain steps during missions to access, or finding hidden switches in levels. The true ending was only through the "hard route" of levels. Furthermore, you could earn medals by killing a certain number of enemies on each level, which were quite a bit more challenging to get and would eventually unlock a few secrets.

The original 64 had Expert Mode which was unlocked after getting all the medals in normal mode. It was the same as the expert mode they showed in this new game, but Fox wore sunglasses in it.

>great art style
Nope, it was always garbage. SW2 version is the only good design since Adventures, Assault and 3DS.

>gameplay sucks
holy filtered

Zero looks alot like SF Snes 1 and 2 and takes stuff like bosses and the chicken walker from both. This one looks like its going to be an exact copy and paste bit with new paint.

In the new game, you come in through the trench just like in 64. In Zero thst trench isn't there, as you come in through the coast youre already in the city
