This entire game presentation is some very dedicated fan service. These fuckers looked at a Fox in Space, realized they probably couldn't lift that 1 to 1 like they did the Metroid Remake and decided "fuck it, we'll do our own cutscenes that aren't just text boxes between single animations like Pokemon or Pikmin". I think anyone looking for new content are going to lean very heavily into thes Mission Mode side objectives, but 99% of the time they don't carry a fresh release title purchase.
