>scary fps game that isn't a fast paced boomer shooterhow is this such a rare genre?
>>738364504what are you talking about? slow walking is in basically every horror shooter
>>738364504This game hit too close to home. Fuck.
>>738366526sophie I facking love you
>>738366526It could be worse. You could've been born in Sweden.
>>738364772name some horror shooters (action horror doesn't count)
Why do you willingly play horror games? What do you get out of it? It doesn't feel good to be afraid
>>738368474Enjoying vibes and aesthetics is beyond human explanation. It just looks and feels pleasing. It's not even the "being afraid" thing for me, it's more so the darkness and bleakness of it all. The greater urge to stay alive. I also think it's impressive when something genuinely feels creepy
>>738368285Shooting is action
>>738368474Media-induced fear isn’t the unpleasant type. It’s closer to excitement and wonderment.
>>738368474horror games (and horror movies) aren't scary unless if you're an underage christiani just like it for the atmosphere and realism, there's permadeath and consistent tension
>>738364504>the part with the trains in lost in vivo ( which is sharing lot of traits with cry of fear), if you know you knowin the top ten of moments making you shit bricks in video gamesWhy's lost in vivo not being discussed more often?
>>738368474>It doesn't feel good to be afraidyou're not really afraid, it's like an echo of what the irl emotion is, closer to being intrigued. being scared in real life has intense crushing negativity that doesn't translate to being spooked by vidya.
>>738370329In a way yea, but games like resident evil are borderline not scary especially compared to something like cry of fear
